Sound design and sound for picture — Warsaw
Sound design and sound for film, advertising and animation in Warsaw. Dialogue editing, SFX, Foley and a complete soundtrack in a 5.1 studio in Żoliborz.
Looking for a studio to deliver professional sound design in Warsaw and complete sound for film, advertising or animation? All In Sound is a sound post-production studio in Warsaw’s Żoliborz district, where a production’s entire sound layer takes shape — from the first cleanup of the dialogue to a finished, polished soundtrack.
Sound is half of the emotion on screen, even though audiences rarely pay conscious attention to it. A well-designed sound layer makes a scene believable, builds tension and makes a brand memorable. That is exactly what sound design is for — so that what you hear works for the story just as strongly as the picture.
We work in a 5.1 editing room with controlled acoustics and a normalised monitoring level. A setup like this lets us refine every detail of the track — from a subtle ambience in the background to a single effect that builds the key moment of a scene. We deliver sound design as a standalone service or as part of comprehensive sound post-production .
What sound design involves
Sound design is the creation and selection of a production’s entire sonic space. It is far more than “laying in some effects” — it is the deliberate design of what the audience hears in every second. We write more about the concept itself in our article on what sound design is .
As part of sound for picture, we take care of:
- dialogue editing — organising, cleaning and levelling the recorded lines so that they sound coherent and natural;
- sound effects (SFX) — building and selecting the sounds of action, surroundings and props;
- Foley — effects recorded in sync with the picture (footsteps, the touch of materials, movement), which we cover in more depth in our piece on Foley ;
- ambiences — the sonic backdrop that establishes place and time of day: a street, a forest, an interior, a crowd;
- designed sounds — effects that do not exist in nature, built from scratch for the needs of a scene.
The goal is a coherent, believable audio space in which every element has its place and heightens the emotion of the frame. Good sound design is invisible — the audience does not think about individual sounds, they simply feel the scene the way it was meant to be. When sound is missing or unpolished, however, the picture immediately loses its credibility, even if the visual edit itself is flawless.
For which productions
Sound design works wherever image meets sound. We provide sound for picture for:
- feature and documentary film — a full soundtrack and dialogue editing;
- series — consistent quality and a coherent sound across an entire season;
- advertising — sound that sells and stays in memory; we write more about this in our article on sound for advertising ;
- animation — where the entire sound layer is built from scratch;
- games — designing interactive and environmental sound layers;
- online content — corporate films, social media material, YouTube productions;
- sonic brand identity — sound logos and audio signatures used in communication.
What the process looks like
We run every project along a proven path that we adapt to the genre and the production’s deadline:
- Picture analysis — we watch the material, map out the sound needs scene by scene and establish the concept for the sound.
- Gathering and designing sounds — we draw on the 4 TB library, record Foley and create designed sounds wherever something unique is needed.
- Editing and sync — we lay out the effects and dialogue in perfect agreement with the picture, frame by frame.
- Layering and processing — we build depth by stacking layers, processing and adding space, creating a full, three-dimensional sound.
- Preparing for the mix — we tidy up the session and export the layers so that the mix runs smoothly and without any loss of quality.
Our studio and toolkit
At the heart of the studio is a 5.1 editing and mixing room with carefully controlled acoustics. We work on Pro Tools Ultimate, with monitoring based on Eve Audio and Genelec speakers, which gives a faithful, predictable picture of the sound no matter where the material is later broadcast — in the cinema, on television or on a streaming platform. We also have a 4 TB sound library at our disposal, which we constantly expand with our own recordings, so that we can match material to every scene precisely instead of settling for a compromise.
Dialogue editing, ADR and sound editing are led by Olga — a sound engineer with international experience in sound post-production. She has collaborated with the acclaimed sound designer Nicolas Becker, among others, and worked as an ADR editor on Lupin and Infiniti, and as ADR supervisor and dialogue editor on Around the World in 80 Days. The mix and music production are led by Yohan. We have delivered material for platforms and broadcasters of the calibre of Netflix, Prime Video, BBC and France TV, which translates into a real command of broadcast requirements.
What you receive
Once the work is done, we hand over a complete set of materials ready for further use:
- the session and stems — separated layers of dialogue, effects and ambiences, allowing later revisions;
- files in the agreed format — stereo or 5.1, in line with the production’s requirements;
- compliance with delivery standards — including the EBU R128 loudness standard required by broadcasters and VOD platforms.
As a result, the finished material moves smoothly into the further mix and broadcast — nothing has to be redone from scratch.

Frequently asked questions
What is sound design?
Sound design is the creation and selection of a production’s entire sound layer — sound effects (SFX), Foley, ambiences and designed sounds that do not exist in nature. It builds the mood, the believability and the emotion of a scene. In film and advertising it shapes the audience’s perception just as strongly as the picture does.
How does sound design differ from dialogue editing and mixing?
Dialogue editing organises and cleans the recorded lines, sound design creates and arranges the effects and the sonic space of a scene, and the mix blends all of these layers into a coherent whole ready for broadcast. These are three separate stages of post-production that complement each other seamlessly in our workflow.
What kinds of productions do you do sound design for?
Feature and documentary films, series, commercials, animation, games and online content. We handle both dialogue editing and full sound for picture, as well as sonic brand identity (audio branding).
How much does sound design cost?
The price depends on the length, genre and complexity of the material and on the number of designed effects. We do not use a fixed price list — send us your project and we will prepare a quote and schedule tailored to your production.
How long does it take to do sound for a film or a commercial?
We can do sound for a short commercial in a few working days, while a series episode or a feature film takes from several to a dozen or so days. We set a realistic deadline after viewing the material and learning your own deadline.
What is Foley and do you record it?
Foley is sound effects recorded live in sync with the picture — footsteps, the touch of materials, the movement of clothing or props. We use it to complement the SFX library wherever a scene calls for natural detail matched precisely to the image.
Do you work in 5.1 and in line with loudness standards?
Yes. The editing room works in a 5.1 configuration with controlled acoustics and normalised monitoring, and we prepare the material in line with delivery standards, including the EBU R128 loudness standard required by broadcasters and VOD platforms.
In what formats do you deliver the finished material?
We deliver files in the format and configuration agreed with the production — stereo or 5.1, together with stems (dialogue, effects, music) and the session. This means the material is ready for further mixing or broadcast without having to redo the work from scratch.
